Saved by a Miracle

A couple of days ago, I've been hearing weak meows coming from somewhere in the outside. The meows continued for hours until my little sisters decided to go and find out where they're coming from. Sometime later they returned saying that the meows are coming from inside my dad's car!

I went down with my mom to check it out. A little kitten was trapped inside my dad's TrailBlazer. It was stuck somewhere near the front wheel and was no where to be found. I opened the hood and even checked beneath the car but couldn't see where the sound was coming from.

After two hours of searching, I decided to let go of the cat. I went back home and prepared to go to bed, only my mom came minutes later holding a rat-like scary kitty. She said she saw the cat's eyes glowing so she slided beneath the car and got it out! :D

The kitty was terrified. It was stuck in a dark place all afternoon and evening. I have no idea how it got there in the first place!

The kitty, which we call Tom now, was in a bad shape. My mom bathed it and fed it some Tuna. It was very scared of humans, and used to run to corners and try to climb the wall whenever someone approached it. It also kept meowing when left alone so my mom had to hold it safe till it sleeps.

We've been hosting Tom ever since. My mom decided to take care of it till it becomes well again. It may take sometime before Tom can get on the streets again but it is becoming much better and more acquainted with humans. Now, it is constantly wondering around the house looking for company!

If it wasn't for my mom, Tom would have been crushed next morning when my dad moved his car. I think this little kitten was saved by a miracle :)

One of my cats is a "rescued" cat and when we first got her she was really scared and was always on the defensive when anyone tried to approach her by hissing and trying to scratch, but now (2 years later) she's affectionate with us but she still doesn't like strangers nor does she get along with other cats.

Tom is bit more playful, no hissing, although it does unintentionally scratch sometimes :)

Get me a clean kitty and I'll get you psychiatric consultation for catophobia on your next birthday.

Well dude it looks cute, I think you should keep it. Don't through out after it's grown, speaking from an experience, it won't be able to cope with the street life. Look what happened to poor Oburg....

Of course I won't throw it out man, I'll bring it to you :D

After it spends enough time in your house, it will graduate and acquire a degree in street roaming. We'll let it go by then :P

Street Roaming isn't a license nor a degree, it's a life style... Something you're born and if taken away, you can't get it back.
