About

February 13, 2013

My name is Ghaith. I am a Jordanian living in the UK, currently holding a post-doctoral position at the Institute of Neuroscience at Newcastle University, UK. I am also a staff member of the Centre for Behaviour and Evolution at Newcastle University.

I work in computational neuroscience; studying the algorithms and computational architectures of brains and machines. My academic interests are multi-disciplinary and include themes of computation, cognition, intelligence and machine learning. My non-professional interests include philosophy (epistemology, ontology, theism, morality), formal logic, reasoning, science and meta-mathematics. In my spare time I do software development and try to prototype interesting projects and ideas (some of these are available on GitHub).

More information about my research and projects are available on their respective pages.
